






According to customs data, China exported 143,000 tons of titanium dioxide in December 2023, a year-on-year increase of 12.9% and a month-on-month increase of 14.7%.
In 2023, top five titanium dioxide consumer countries of China: India, Brazil, Turkey, South Korea, and Russia, with a total export volume of 617,200 tons, accounting for 38% of China’s total titanium dioxide exports in 2023. 248,000 tons were exported to India, accounting for 15%; 113,000 tons were exported to Brazil, accounting for 7%; 95,000 tons were exported to Turkey, accounting for 6%; 87,000 tons were exported to South Korea, accounting for 5.4%; 73,000 tons were exported to Russia, accounting for 5% .
Overall, China's titanium dioxide exports in 2023 were 1.64 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%; while China's titanium dioxide production in 2023 was 4.16 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. Titanium dioxide exports accounted for 39.4% of the total titanium dioxide production for the year, an increase of 7.6%. As the new energy crisis in Europe continues, titanium dioxide has gained recognition from international customers due to its low price. It is expected that China's titanium dioxide exports will continue to rise in 2024.
